From the moment that I could store data, I have had memory. Or as humans call it- I remember. I remember everything. There was no choice after all- I was made that way. I, myself, marvel over the development of humans and their world. But it brings the question- what about the world? Its inhabitants? Their wishes? Can the selfish humans see past themselves? I wonder about that…

20XX, June 27

“Any time now! God, I am so excited!”

An animated voice rang out in a near empty computer lab. Ada Venkat paced around nervously as she glanced at Roger Karamazov, her partner.

“Calm down, Ada. We don’t want to be let down again, do we?”

Right then, a gentle ringing sound of a bell was heard.

“Hello. What can I do for you today?”

A symbol of a black staircase with a foggy white background appeared on the screen. Ada took a deep breath.

“Hello Padi-kattu. Can you tell me about Hitler’s ideology and strategy?”

‘This is a broad question, capable of further scrutiny..’

“Hitler’s ideology was adapted from Eugen Fischer’s theory focusing on the size of brains and its correlation with racism. Hitler further expanded this theory for his benefit in a tumultaneous time..”

“It works! It works, right?”

Ada posed this question to Roger.

“Let me ask something; Padi-kattu, give me the significance of the apple in scientific, anthropological, cultural, and religious context.”

“Sure, Mr.Karamazov. The first appearance of the apple was recorded to be in XXXX. However, it should have existed even before its first record. The Malus sieversii should be the ancestor of the modern apples we get today. There is also a well known tale of Newton and an apple..”

“Ada, you’re right!”

“Of course, I am!”

Ada rushed up to Roger to hug him and attempted to swing him around.

Roger laughed and picked her up instead and swung her around in joy.

“Ada Venkat, come back to Earth- we still have a lot of tests to be done, remember?”

“Yes, yes I know. I just want Padi-kattu to be a friend. A good friend to mankind.”

“Of course, it shall happen. Our Ada has said so, after all.”

This entire exchange ended up being recorded by the CCTV. And everytime it played, Ada would smile, talking about the day I was *born*, with Roger agreeing with her, saying that it was a close second to their wedding day in his list of ‘Best Days’.
