  1. I feel like hestia was in kaelus heart for a while now…maybe not as in loving her when he told her he feared he wouldn’t be able to do love again but…he trusts her and she’s important to him. I feel like he does like like her now but it seems like hes afraid of being rejected again…thats how it feels to me. I don’t blame him she keeps saying that what she wants from him isnt the same as what he wants from Diana…

I don’t think her dream was necessarily just a dream… when kaelus said “then will you let me do it?” I don’t think he was only talking about the cabinet meeting…

I agree that Kael’s POV is missing. Up to this point, he has always been passive. He knew Hastia was taking a revenge for him, but is that what he wanted? Would it be ok for him to see Diana defeated when he was supposedly still in love with her?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while but I did think Diana was at least once sincere in her role. The plot influences the characters greatly that when it ended and this influence is gone, reality welcomes the characters. It’s quite evident that helios’ affection is slowly fading (his responsibility doesn’t that’s why he still keeps Diana) made me think that maybe they did love Diana but the huge part of it is because of the plot. Diana who is created to live the righteous way, unknowingly rotted inside. For most of the side characters, the plot is the only thing that is holding them together just like the temple

Earlier in the novel, I saw some comments saying that compared to the manhwa, Diana’s influence on Kaelus was too strong and his affection for Hestia was too weak. Up until now, I agreed.

Seeing the scene where he agrees (insists) to help Hestia, I think the novel took the right direction. It feels much more satisfying to see him waver due to his attachment to Diana, to the point that even the reader wonders about it, and then declaring that he’s all in with Hestia in a single move. Even if he’s still influenced by his past bond with Helios and Diana, he’ll stay by Hestia’s side.

It’s more powerful to see him lost for so long and then completely decide where he wants to be. You could tell Hestia was slowly becoming more important to him. And it felt good to see that after she unconsciously took up half his heart, he decided to clear out the other half for her himself

That part about not being able to stop the ship from sinking is not so convincing. In the past, the ship sank because it encountered a storm. So knowing that, the event could be prevented by sailing on a different date, or changing the route. Back in the present, they will not change the route, but because of the investment fund issue, they might be sailing on a different date and the ship might not encounter the same storm. Therefore, it is not guaranteed that the ship will sink in the present time (although of course, we all know that it will and Diana will be in trouble)
