When the cursed bell tolls, death follows. Her name is next.
Lira Vesper never believed the town’s legends, until the night a crow dropped a metal strip with her name carved into it. Every toll of the bell brings frost-script warnings, eerie deaths, and a shadowed boy who always arrives first.
Callen Roe is bound to the bell. Dangerous, magnetic, impossible to trust.
Ezra Quinn is her oldest friend. Steady, safe… but jealousy is tearing him apart.
As the debt ledger awakens and classmates vanish, Lira and a small circle of survivors are pulled into a deadly game against the cult that forged the curse. The bell demands payment. The ledger keeps writing. And every secret leads back to Lira.
Caught between two boys and hunted by an ancient debt, Lira must make an impossible choice:
Break the ledger, or pay with her life.

What if your locker whispered your name?
I came to Ravenshade Academy hoping to disappear. But frost spirals follow me, mirrors whisper secrets, and the Rift has already claimed me.
Now two very different boys refuse to let me go:
Luke—my childhood best friend, warm as sunlight, the only safe thing in this cursed place.
Ashriel—the forbidden guardian bound to me by prophecy, dangerous as midnight.
One promises safety. The other tempts me with shadows.
And the Rift? It whispers my name, demanding I choose.
But what if choosing between them opens the Rift?

Seventeen-year-old Aster is a commoner girl living with her Aunt Sally in the capital of Crescentis Kingdom. She remembers nothing from before she was seven—only a boy with brunette hair whom she constantly dreams of, the one who gave her a mysterious crescent moon crystal necklace engraved with the words:
“Once the sun and moon combine,
Realms unite and stars align.”
When her top grades earn her a place at Celentine Academy, a prestigious school for nobles, she meets Ranley, a young noble with the same name and brunette hair as the boy in her dreams. Convinced he might be the one, Aster is determined to get close to him and uncover the truth behind the necklace.
Navigating academy life won’t be easy, especially when the nobles see her as nothing more than a commoner. Along the way, she will find true friends, encounter magic and mischief, and even discover the first stirrings of love.
Yet beneath it all lies a greater mystery: Is Ranley truly the boy she once met, or is fate leading her toward a truth far more extraordinary?

I first wrote this story when I was seventeen, and now I’ve reconstructed it with a fresh perspective. Originally, it was only twenty-six chapters, but with the addition of new characters and a richer fantasy world, it has grown longer—likely around a hundred chapters or fewer. Please note that this is a slow-burn story, with moments of angst, twists, and unexpected turns along the way. I still hope you enjoy it and feel like a part of Aster’s journey as you read. Lana never meant to stand out. But her silence made her a target, her intelligence sparked envy, and even her smile was met with hate. One day, she’s locked in a school bathroom—alone, hungry, and afraid.
That night, everything falls apart. Her parents die in a car crash, and she returns home only to find their lifeless bodies.
In the depths of grief, memories surface—of a girl in a novel who looks just like her. The same name, the same pain, the same fate. As the line between reality and fiction begins to blur, Lana faces a haunting question: Is this just a nightmare... or the beginning of another world?
